SUMMARY
The objective is to excel in Database Programming
/ Administration preferably in PRO-IV / SYBASE. The aim is to achieve a
status of excellence in the field of PRO-IV / SYBASE administration / development,
preferably using PRO-IV or Powerbuilder which are my primary skills.
Other areas of experience include a long
sojourn in the telecommunications sector of IT, Support and Administration
of large databases, System administration, software support , Operating
systems, Custom applications etc.
Other assets include good communication
skills and the ability to handle multiple customers. During my 3 years
in the Information Technology field, I have had the chance to implement
and support many projects in the Telecom sector.
I am presently working with an ISO 9002
certified company in Bahrain, and shall be available for joining work in

Involved in a project called ‘ISIS’. This
is a comprehensive software system designed to automate customer service
and billing activities of landline and cellular telephony service providers.
This software has been developed by CSC Telecom Division, U.K. It is an
operations support system which can help for landline, GSM, Paging services
to
a) Install and maintain customers
b) Acquire call data from switch
c) Rate different types of calls
d) Bill customers
e) Collect payments
f) Maintain accounts.
g) Maintaining Roaming partner.
ISIS runs on Oracle 7.2.3, on an HP 9000
K400 series machine. The software front end is written in Pro-IV. The primary
job responsibility includes:
* Coordination of Support and development.
This requires working from the London Office.
* Provision for full time onsite / off-site
system support.
* The job involves a good amount of database
administration.
* Analyzing the present system used by the
customer and conduct analysis/tests.
* System Integration and Testing of the
Computing facility and software provided to the customer.
* 24 hour support for the existing GSM billing
system.
* Developing ad hoc reports.

This is a comprehensive software system designed to automate Intercol Service
Centre for GSM and Radio Phones an in-house project using SYBASE as backend
database and Powerbuilder as Front-end. It is an operations support system

a) Log customer complaints including workorders.
b) Generating invoices.
c) Maintain Purchase orders, Goods received
and stock sold.
d) Maintaining Accounts.

The primary job responsibility includes
a good amount of database design and development, System Integration and
Testing.

TCIL BELLSOUTH LTD. is a joint venture of
Telecom Consultants India Ltd. and BELLSOUTH International (U.S.A). TBL's
emphasis is on development of software for Telecom sector. It has successfully
computerised several Telecom Districts for Department of Telecom in India
as well as in
Malaysia, UK, Ukraine, Indonesia and Zimbabwe.
From JULY 1995 to FEBRUARY 1996
Customer Administration and Billing System
(CABS2000) is a comprehensive software system designed to automate customer
service and billing activities and associated areas for GSM. This software
has been developed by SEMA Group Telecom Division U.K. It is an operations
support system which can help to
a) Install and maintain customers
b) Acquire call data from switch
c) Rate different types of calls
d) Bill customers
e) Collect payments
Responsible to study and design of additional
requirements to customize CABS 2000 for SkyCell Communications. Designed
and developed programs to read call data acquired from switch and delete
call data records for special types of calls like calls to customer service
center from a mobile phone subscriber which should not be charged, interface
to credit card data to payments module, bill printing utility using multi-stationary
etc. These routines are developed using C and ESQLC.

Customer Service module and Billing and
Accounting module of ADMINISTRATOR for Land Line in Andhra Pradesh/Kerala
Telecom Sectors.
The Customer Service Module caters to processing
of the service requests from both potential and existing subscribers of
the telephone, telex and leased network. It provide on line access to customer
database to process requests, work order, waitlist management and to provide
queries on requests. It provides facility to register and process several
types of subscriber complaints. It also provides integrated signature verification
and retrieval system about rules and facilities provided by Department
of Telecommunications.
The Billing and Accounting module helps
in Customer Billing which includes both local and long distance calls and
also process payments. This module presides onetime access to active and
post computer records. It also maintains the accounts and gives month wise
and year wise financial statements showing the revenue flow in the organization.
Involved in design and development of 'Administrator'.
This is an integrated application software designed to automate different
telecom operation areas for Public Switching Telephony Networks. It is
an operations support system which provides to
a) Register and maintain customer information
b) Billing and payment collection
Responsible for design and development of
Customer Service and Billing and Payment Collection modules. Developed
several programs to collect payments using online collection centers, different
reports for outstanding balances, collection center wise payments, sub-ledger
for Billing and Payment Collection module. Developed software for service
request acceptance, waitlist management, work order processing and integrated
signature storage and retrieval system for Customer Services module.
